Christian-Vanhoek-Forcing-InterventionSkills I Used:
This was a very challenging assignment, I wrote this paper for my independent study. This was the most comprehensive paper I have written in my college career, as it encompassed a literature review, and analysis. This project required a lot of time management as I needed to read close to two dozen academic papers to be used as sources. I also ended up reading many more that were not used as they turned out to not be relevant or did not contain the right information. It was also a challenge to analyze the entire political situation that was occurring in the early 1990s that led to the intervention in Haiti. I needed to be sure to include all the relevant information, while also taking my advisors feedback into account. It is also one of the longest essays I have written and I feel I was able to do a good job on it, and also improve on each previous draft that I did.
